Angela, Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Hi! My name is Angela. I have been working in the dental field since 1999 and with Dr. Smith since 2007. As a dental hygienist I am responsible for teeth cleanings, exams, cancer screenings, home-care instructions, administering local anesthesia, and teeth whitening procedures. I truly enjoy what I do, and I love working with all of the wonderful patients who come to us for dental care!

• My favorite thing about dentistry is helping people reach their personal best in oral health.
• My favorite thing about being a dental hygienist is delivering exceptional oral healthcare and education to all of our patients. I love to share what I know with patients, especially if it will benefit them.
• I appreciate Dr. Smith's great attention to detail. He pays close attention to his patients' needs and always provides the right care without overtreating.
• Outside of work I love spending time with my husband, Eric, and our two cats, Chloe and Steve, as well as hiking, traveling, reading, and working out at the gym. I am also a member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association.

Andrea, Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

I started off as dental assistant in 1993 with Dr. Smith, then I decided to expand my training. I went to Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene, and graduated in 1999. I came back to work here, and have been working with Dr. Smith ever since.

I live in Lynn with my husband Mike and our two wonderful children, Joshua and Maddison. I love to read and exercise, and I love going to the gym.

Eileen, Scheduling Coordinator

Hello, I'm Eileen! Since 1996 I've been working in the dental field. I am the scheduling coordinator for Dr. Smith's office and am responsible for scheduling appointments, recall and continuing care, patient registration, and helping answer any financial questions.

• My favorite thing about dentistry is getting to work with so many great patients, and seeing the healthy, happy smiles that light their faces after treatment.
• My favorite thing about working with Dr. Smith is his never-ending willingness to help people. He has a passion for making people smile, and it shows!
• I have lived in Marblehead since 1988 with my husband and our two sons. Outside of work I enjoy singing in the Old North Festival Choir and volunteering with the Red Cross.

Amy, Dental Assistant

Hi there! My name is Amy, and I am a dental assistant for Dr. Smith. I've been working in the dental field since 1999 and at this practice since 2008. I love helping patients get the most out of their dental treatments!

• My favorite thing about being a dental assistant is working chair-side with Dr. Smith to help give our patients the beautiful smiles they've always wanted.
• In my spare time I enjoy knitting, spending time with my two Yorkies, Neo and Jax, and shopping! I am married and my husband, Jamie, and I will welcome our first child (a baby girl) in May 2009.

Erica, Dental Assistant

Hi! My name is Erica and I'm a dental assistant. As a dental assistant I take part in a variety of duties, including sterilization, inventory, and some clerical assistance. I've worked with Dr. Smith since 1997, and have lived in Lynn since childhood.

• My favorite thing about working with Dr. Smith is the fact that he is a perfectionist. He treats every patient as if they are an extension of his own family.
• My favorite things about dentistry are the aesthetics of creating a great smile, and then giving our patients the smile they've always wanted. It's very rewarding to be part of something so great!
• In my free time I enjoy working out and traveling to New Hampshire on the weekends. My friend Steve and I have a cocker spaniel named Nikki who keeps us very busy!

Ellen, Registered Dental Hygienist

Hello! I'm Ellen, a registered dental hygienist at the practice of Dr. Darryl Smith. I've loved working in the dental field ever since I started working in a dental practice part-time when I was in high school. Now, over 30 years later, I am still just as excited to be helping great people achieve a beautiful smile.

• My favorite thing about working at this practice is being part of such a wonderful, friendly, professional team. Our practice is amazing, and Dr. Smith provides exceptional dental care.
• I have lived in Swampscott since 1986 with my husband, Michael, and our two children, Andrea and Michael.
• Summer is always my favorite time of year when I get to enjoy going to the beach, boating, and every poolside activity imaginable!

Kristen, Financial Coordinator

Welcome! My name's Kristen and I'm the financial coordinator. I have been working in the dental field since 1999, and started working with Dr. Smith in 2006. It's my responsibility to coordinate any financial arrangements, manage our patients' accounts, and take care of the billing. If you have any financial questions, just ask!

• My favorite thing about working with Dr. Smith is the way he always treats patients with loyalty and fairness. His patients and his staff are treated like family, with respect and a caring nature.
• My favorite thing about dentistry is helping patients financially carry out their dreams of a better smile. I love being able to give patients options, and help them pick the best plan for their lifestyle.
• Outside of work I love traveling! I also like to work out, read, and shop. I attended Salem State College where I got a bachelor's degree in business and a minor in psychology. I then received my certificate in medical coding from Clark University.

Tracey, Dental Hygienist

Hi, my name's Tracey, and I've been a dental hygienist for Dr. Smith since 2001. I love being a dental hygienist, and I especially love getting to meet so many new and unique people. Our patients make everything we do a truly rewarding experience.

• My favorite thing about working in dentistry is being able to help people while working in a healthcare environment. It's such a great feeling to know that I am helping so many people take a healthier approach to their dental hygiene and oral health.
• My favorite thing about working with Dr. Smith is his sense of humor! Dr. Smith makes a visit to the dentist's office fun for everybody. He is always ready to share a smile and a laugh.
• In my leisure time I enjoy sailing, skiing, learning how to play golf, traveling, volunteering at the Salem Mission (homeless shelter), and above all else, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two daughters.
• I am originally from Madrid, Spain, and I also lived for several years in Switzerland before moving to Marblehead.

Kathi, Dental Assistant

I've been in the field of dentistry since 1981 and with Dr. Smith since 1993. My duties include assisting Dr. Smith chairside on all procedures, maintaining a clean and sterile environment, and educating patients on procedure, treatment, and oral health.

I love working with Dr. Smith because he treats his patients like family, with honesty and the upmost respect. He provides his service in the absolute best way possible with his skill and the best products available. I also love helping to make people have the best smiles possible and seeing them happy about themselves.

I grew up in Somerville, MA, and currently live in Lynn with my husband and two children. I like reading horror and “who done its” and walking the beach.
